Recently, I finished my studding for an IT professional. I got a job as IT administrator in a rather big company almost immediately after graduation. However, I have almost none practical knowledge. Almost every day I come on some problem that I don't know hot to solve and I hesitate to ask other colleagues. For instance, is new ZoneAlarm Pro 8.0 safer than the older versions. What do you think about Zone Alarm Pro? I really need some help people.

First thing you should do is to take a deep breath and stop panicking. You are in the same position as almost every other newbie in any branch when they get their first job. You have to understand that, when a company employs some freshmen without any further experiences, they do not expect you to know everything. If they want somebody with a strong experience level, they would hire some veteran instead of you. Therefore, they hire you because they hope that you have enough knowledge to be a fast learner. So, do not hesitate to ask your colleagues for help because they expect you to do that. Even more, your supervisor can punish you for not doing that. Don't worry, you will get enough practice soon enough. Anyway, let us get back to your question is new ZoneAlarm Pro 8.0 safer than the older version. I don't know that because I am a fun of AVG, which is the safest by my opinion. Therefore, I do not pay attention to new Zone Alarm releases but I think I read somewhere that some new safer version of it should be available soon.

I also think that you shouldn't panic because working is the only way for getting real practice. So just try to keep up with daily duties and you will become a 'veteran' very quickly. However, I have to disagree with colleague about asking other colleagues for help unless you know some of them privately. If your supervisor did not specifically told you which one of them is assigned to help you whenever you need some help, I would avoid begging for help as much as I can do. You have to understand that older colleagues see every newcomer as a potential threat to their jobs. Therefore, they are not so willing to help you. In addition, they have enough their job and not so much time for charity work. I think that you choose right way for asking answers on Internet forums. If you cannot find answers on Internet or in the books, then try to ask a most friendly colleague. From your question is new ZoneAlarm Pro 8.0 safer than the older version, I see that you do not read many computer magazines. For that part of answer, I have to disagree with our colleague. I tried many other anti-viruses but I think ZoneAlarm is the best anti-virus software on the market. I read that new ZoneAlarm Pro 8.0 should be even safer and I am looking forward to try it.
