Is good idea to update to Vista?

I need one advice, and I hope that you will have solution for me. What do you think, Is good idea to update to Vista? I am thinking about that very serious. When I had Windows XP I didnt updated it even once. But now I think that it is not such a bad idea for Vista to do that every once in a while.

My friend has Vista. I explored it a little and I really liked it. I thought about installing it also, but my computer is not strong enough. He doesnt update Vista, and doesnt see the need for it. I must say that I dont have habit to update my Windows. I also think that those updates are not something big. And you probably can be without them. It is a good idea if you want to do that every once in a while. But I really think that you will not have very big use from it. But n the end it is your decision what will you do.
