| Basically these are my needs: internet surfing, chat, p2p, word documents, movies, music. I dont need autocad or corel or some serious program. I know that linux programs can replace windows for my needs, but is it easy to install and maintain everything as it is in Windows? I am into buying new computer so thought of maybe saving some extra bucks. |

| There are lots of distros which are very easy to install and maintain, as easy as in Windows XP or Vista. Particularly, I think the best for your needs is Linuxmint, based on Ubuntu, but with preinstalled audio codecs, video codecs, and some basic multimedia applications. I am sure you would like it. |
