I am using windows 98, and I have this problem when I try to install some applications.
Some times it appears on the start up as well. Message is invalid win32 application.
Why does this happen? And when Im surfing the internet, and try to download some files, same thing happens. I cannot launch outlook express, when I try it says it is not a valid win 32 application. What does this mean? Please help!

What applications are you trying to run? You didnt mention your hardware configuration. Maybe your winzip file is corrupted, are you using winzip or winrar? Try installing some other software for compressed files, like winace, or winrar. It should probably work. Make sure primary and secondary IDE are running 32bit before copying or installing new stuff on your computer. Also, any file copied or installed in 16 bit mod is not widely usable and cooperative. If the system is running in 16bit mode, drivers may cause invalid win32 application error. There is also other possibility. It could be a video card driver problem. Check your video card manual, and look for the driver updates. Good luck! I forgot to mention that windows 98 is full of bugs
