Each time I try opening a certain .xls file using Excel XP, the program crashes. All I get is the message saying "EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module EXCEL.EXE at (this or that address)". I tried scanning the file for viruses and it seems to be OK. Still, no other file is causing this kind of error. What am I supposed to do?

Most likely you just have a corrupted file of some sort. If I were you, I'd give up on it or try to find a replacement copy. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to check to see if the file opens on another machine, possibly running another version of Excel. If it does, just have it saved as a different copy and move back to your own machine.
