I got a dell inspiron laptop about a month ago. It has a built in Intel wireless card running a wireless connection to a linksys WRT54GS v5.1. But unfortunately I have a problem with connecting. Sometimes the connection is automatic and the signal is strong. Other times it cannot find it at all. I have WEP enabled and the keys coincide or Think it would never connect. Has anyone had the same problem? Is it something that can be fixed?

This is a common problem with dell inspiron. Here’s what you should try since it helped a lot of people. Turn off the router and the cables attached to your computer. Also turn off the computer. Wait for three minutes and then plug all the cables connected to the computer. Then turn on the router and wait for the steady light. Turn on the comp. If it connects automatically, disconnect and then connect manually by typing the WEP key. If this doesn’t help, write again and we’ll try to think of something else.
