I have 2 internal drives on my PC. My secondary drive has 2 partiions. One of them I can see and access. The other is showing under "My Computer" with the drive letter but no info on size or available space. I can not access the drive. I can view the drive info in Device Manager and again I can get the drive letter but no properties for the 'missing' partition.
I can right click on the drive from My Computer and view properties ... after several moments the window comes up with no info. I tried scanning the drive for errors and it acts like it will run then just comes back to the drive properties window (still no info)
Any thoughts I what is causing this or how I can recover this drive. I would like to be able to save the info from the drive if possible.
Also this happened at some point after rebooting several times installing video editing software. None of which was stored or installed on this drive. So I dont think the software is the problem... only that it occured during one of many reboots
Also I just found under computer management that I seem to have lost the file system info for this partition. It was NTFS. Any way to recover this without formating the drive and losing my info? Or is its already lost?
