| Well, I am about to install PCI adapter for a first time in my life. It is PC/TV tuner. Now, I never did that. So, I would appreciate little help, if somebody is willing to give me couple of few, easy to learn steps, how this should be done, without getting mess. I mean, how hard can this be? I can bet that changing a tire is much, much more complicated, isnt it? So, fire up with the instructions, people! Thanks. |

Changing the tire is a lot more harder. And also dirtier job. But if your computer is over 1 year old, and you have never cleaned it so far, than this could be very dirty job, too.
Joke, off course.
OK. Youll need four-side magnetized screwdriver. Two screws (usually) from your left-side of the case should be removed. When you did that, remove the left side of the case. Now, probably there is a big fan, under power supply (lean your case to the right side). Off course, before you do all of this, make sure that you have unplugged all cables from the case. Can you see few identical slots each under? These are the PCI. Your logic comes to light now. There is a screw holding, for each PCI card. So, plug the PCI card, and than use your screwdriver to strain it after plugging. Dont push too hard, youll notice the limit with ease. When you did with the screwdriver, put back the left side of the case, plug all cables back, fire up the computer and thats it! Install the drivers on windows prompt. Good luck. |
