I will buy a new pc, most likely Dell. Ill have no OS on it, so Ill put some linux, maybe Ubuntu or Redhat Fedora. Im new into Linux, so I know that they use another harddisk system. If I make it to fit linux, will the drive be able to take Windows later, without affecting my linux installation?

When you install an OS on a blank drive, the setup program will offer you to make different partitions. You can make several separate partitions. Any of these can be later reformatted to use NTFS file system and then you can install Windows on it. Your linux system wont be affected with this, unless of course, you reformat a system partition Smile
