| Hello. I have bought this new WiFI PCI adapter card for my computer. Now, I just need to plug the card inside the PC, before my computer guy comes to set other things up. I am just wondering is plugging and installing of this card difficult for a person like me (never did that so far)? And, what else should I know about this products? Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. There is no special education needed for operations alike. If you have your hands calm than you should not fear of anything. But, why you dont wait for your computer guy to solve all things? Never mind, I can see the curiosity you have for a little hardware work. Open your computer case, make sure that you have detached every power source from the mother board. You will see few, 3 or 6 PCI slots, all of them are usually white, places for the card. Pick up the one and Just plug it in like we did with the cartridges on good old C64. When you finish, close the case, fire up your computer, Insert a driver CD if it is provided together with the the card and follow the driver installation procedure, if needed for it. For D-Link, you usually dont have to. Other things, regarding WiFi transmission security, let your system administrator to handle that, your computer guy. |
