| I've been trying to install Win 2K Pro onto this old computer that's been laying around for ages, I think it originally had Win 95 on it but I'm not sure. Anyway its HD is all formatted now, but when I try to install Win 2K, everything just freezes on the license agreement screen. The installation disk is OK, as confirmed on another machine. Any thoughts? |

Just a couple.
One, make sure your HDD is operational, because it sounds like the freeze occurs when the installation first tries to write to it. If you need drivers for it, copy them to a floppy disc beforehand.
And two, you might want to try flashing your BIOS before installing, because old ones don't always play nicely with newer OSs. (And I assume 2000 is new compared to the old machine.)
