I think HDD is screwed

I have strange problem. Recently I have started to hear some weird sounds from my case. Its like crunchy sounds if you know what I mean. Windows started, also, to reports some errors and are not able to open some files. I really do not know what is going on. It seems that my computer is doomed.

Your computer is not doomed, but I think that your hard disk is screwed. You just described problems which point to hard disk issue. I suggest you to make back up of your data as you still able to do it, because I think that you hard disk will die very soon. You should buy a new one.
