I cannot choose video card!

Hello! I am planning to buy new video card, but regarding the fact that I do not know much about hardware, I am not sure will I make a good decision. I just cannot choose video card. I kindly ask you to tell me more about video cards and on what I should pay attention while I planning to buy it. Thank you very much!

There are too many brands. These days video cards are 2D/3D. There are some video cards which are dual heads they support two monitors; some of them has extra cooler, so, overheating is not problem, etc You should know that different brands with similar characteristics have almost same performances.
