| I installed tons of protection software. No I see that my system gets slower and slower. Which ones should I keep, and which one to ban? Here is the list: AVG, Kaspersky, Panda, McAfee, ZoneAlarm, NetNanny. I think that more programs you have more protected you are. I would love to keep them all, but I just dont have 4 Gb of RAM, if you know what am saying. I visit lot of those hacker sites, so its logical to use protection software. |

| McAfee is definitely one that you should keep. I mean, maybe few more, but well come to this later. McAfee has lot of optins which Panda is using. So why to use both of them, remove Panda. Zone Alarm is cool, and you should keep it too, because it has very good virus definitions. I recommend you to install Sophos. Of course, delete all other Antivirus software that you mentioned. To resume, install McAfee, Zone Alarm and Sophos. Still, it will work a bit slower but dont worry, sooner or later youll buy another RAM modul. How much RAM memory do you have? Make sure to disable non stop protection in Zone Alarm and Sophos. Launch them only when youre online. Its not true that you are well protected if youre using 10 protection programs. It just doesnt work that way, youre actually more vulnerable with 10 programs because they cant work fast enough with fixed RAM size. |
