Hello! I am trying to set my first network with two computers. One computer has two network cards, other one just one. I also have a cable modem. I have connected computers with crossover cable and computer with two network cards to cable modem. I do not know now how to set IP addresses. Can you help me with this?

Hello! I think that it would be the best if you set static IP addresses for both computers in desired IP range. For example: 192.168.0.1 for the first computer and 192.168.0.2 for the other one. After this you will have to enable internet connection sharing on the first computer and to enter IP address of the first computer as a default gateway for the second one.
