I have an old computer with windows 98SE operating system. Lately it started to give me some problems. When I double click Internet Explorer icon Windows shows me following error message Internet Explorer has performed an illegal operation and needs to close. When I close this message box another one with same message pops up and I need to restart computer to be able to work something again. Can you help me repair Internet Explorer?

This problem can be solved by repairing Internet Explorer. Got to Add/Remove programs and find Internet explore. Click Add/Remove button and in the next window that pops up select "Repair Internet Explorer". You will be prompted for Windows 98 installation disk. This problem can also suggest that you are infected with some viruses or spyware programs. I suggest you to perform full system scan for this malicious software. If none of this helps then you are facing with clean install of Windows 98.
