| While using IE, I've had a system crash or two, and almost every time this happened my bookmarks were somehow erased, so when I restarted I had only the default ones that come with Windows XP. I've been told that there should be a way to somehow backup the bookmarks folder? How can I do that? BTW, please don't suggest a browser change because this is not an option for me ATM. Thanks! |

You didn't mention which version of Internet Explorer you're using, but that's probably OK because the procedure should be similar for all of them. Here's how you do it in IE6:
1) Go to the 'File' menu, and choose 'Import and Export'.
2) Click 'Next', select 'Export Favorites', then click 'Next' again.
3) Choose the name and location of the file to which you're exporting your bookmarks.
Simple, no?
