IBM laptop shuts down by itself

Hello. My IBM laptop is making trouble these days. It shuts down by itself. I can work for several minutes after boot up and it shuts down without any warning. This behavior started few days ago. I did not make any software nor hardware changes prior to that. I would really appreciate if you could give me any hint how to solve this problem because I need this laptop very badly.

Hello. I will have to disappoint you but when laptop shuts down by itself then it is a bad sign. Probably some hardware part is not functioning properly anymore. This can happen because of any malfunction but in the most cases main culprit is memory. Another possibility is overheating. If temperature rises above acceptable level then laptop will shut down by itself to prevent serious damage. What ever the reason is you should take laptop to technician.
