I have a problem with my laptop's keyboard that seems a wee bit strange to me, but then again, my laptop experience is limited to say the least. What happens is, when I press the arrow keys, short sequences of numbers and symbols appear as if I'm typing them in. For example, pressing left arrow shows a "p0_", minus the quotes. Any idea what this is about? Thanks.

IBM laptops are known for weird keyboard issues. The first thing you should try is get an external USB keyboard and plug it in, to see if the problem is possible software-related. If the USB keyboard works OK, then it isn't, so then you open it up and check if the connections from the keyboard to the MoBo are connecting properly. If they are, take it in to have the keyboard replaced.
