| A week ago, I bought external USB DVD-RW and it worked just fine. Since this morning, I have been experiencing some strange problems. When I want to burn something, I discover that I cannot rewrite DVD-RW discs. I do not know what is going on. Is there a possibility that it is already damaged? How to rewrite on RW discs? |

| I do not think that your external DVD burner is damaged. You did not experience problem with making faulty DVD-RW discs from the beginning. Therefore, I think you should check what you do on your machine since yesterday. You may install some new driver or software that could cause your problem with USB burner. In addition, there is a possibility that you have some virus or adware that may cause your problem. You should do a complete check of your machine. Maybe your DVD-RW discs are damaged so you should try them in another burner. If nothing of this will not help, there is a possibility that your burner is damaged. DVD burners have two separated heads: one for CD's and other for DVD's. There is a possibility that your DVD head is damaged with some faulty disk. |
