Hello! I am Jim and I have very strange problem. I have bought new Asus DVD drive and I have attached it properly. But, in my Device Manager I can see that my DVD drive is shown as SCSI device, which is not true. My friend told me that I need to restore DVD drivers. Can you tell me how I can do this?

Hello, Jim! From some reason some IDE devices become SCSI devices in Windows XP operating system. To fix this problem I suggest you to uninstall this drive in Device Manager and reboot computer. Windows should recognize it well again. Also, try with updating drivers for this DVD drive.
p.s.
Mentioned uninstalling/installing procedure is actually restoring appropriate drivers for your DVD drive.
