Hello. I have tried to remove the Gentoo Linux form my system. I did that very successfully, but only one thing remained and that is Grub. I can log in to the windows from the Grub, but the lines for the Gentoo remained. And they are useless now. This is all very ugly to see, and I dont know how to renew the old default xp boot loader. Any help should welcome. Thanks.

Are you saying that you never used recovery console so far? Windows XP recovery console is very powerful tool for manipulating with many things. That can fix your original or default master boot record. Insert the CD into drive and when you come to that part, just use the r key for repair. This will bring you to the recovery console. There select your operating system, and use two following commands. FIX BOOT, enter than FIX MBR, confirm again and hit enter or Y. Thats it.
