I have an OS 10.4 on my Power MAC with HPdeskjet 5650 printer. I installed printer and its software, but its unable to print form Acrobat Reader. I get few errors. One is saying that my cable is missing, which is not true, and another is saying that I didnt connect my printer to the computer. Error is manifesting when I click print button. I hear some noises in the printer, but nothing is happening. Paper just go through cartridge and comes out empty. What to do?

Are you connected to some kind of network? Are you working in the workgroup or alone? This is an important issue because administrator may restrict your access to printer. See the troubleshooting section and read everything about paper jams and stuff. I know that your paper is not a problem, but read it anyway. What about MS Word? Can you do the printing job from Word? Check your acrobat print settings, go to options and click finishing. Check if proper options are selected, if not, adjust them. Read acrobats troubleshooting section as well, and check every possible option. Plug out your cartridge and put it back again. Can you see something now, any improvements? I hope you will work it out.
