| Hello. I dont know how can I limit the bandwidth between multiply users on my small home network. When someone is downloading huge certain file, while I am browsing the internet, the download rate usually eats my bandwidth protocol, and therefore I am suffering big slowdowns, because I am not prioritized in that time. How to do that? I am using Windows XP network by the way. Thanks in advance. |

| Hi. When someone is downloading certain huge file, the bandwidth for the others depends on that user upload speed. The download is equalized automatically, therefore you are going to play with the upload restrictions. You can change the permissions from the router is self I think, but I would say that is not recommended, if you are not experienced much. Instead of that you can try to play with Net Limiter. Very powerful utility to control and monitor the traffic and network bandwidth, it also has firewall inside. |
