How to install a NIC ?

I have bought a network card and now I need information how to install NIC. I have never installed new hardware by my own and I do not k now what to do. I hope you will give me step by step instructions so I would not be able to mess things up. Thank you in advance.

Installing hardware is not a complicated thing. Open your computer case, locate free PCI slot (slots after your video card, there are several of them in row) and insert network card in it. Do it gently but push it until it is firmly attached and then fasten it with a screw. Close computer case, power up computer and install driver if Windows does not recognize your network card immediately.
