My sister gave me LaserWriter LS. I plug it on my computer and try to print. But, I just can not get power on it! How this can be possible? My computer work just fine, I have AMD 1800+ PC ad running windows XP operating system. I know that XP detected new hardware I just dont get it where the problem is

First of all, printer which was given to you is an apples product. Do you guessing what the problem can be? If you thought that it would be compatible for DOS and windows you are in wrong. This printer can work only in mac operating system. To be sure that it is not broken check to plug it in on some mac, install it and try to print. If doesnt work, then try to change power cable.
