How to export files from virtual machine to Linux's hardrive?

I use SuSe Linux distribution on my computer. I also have a virtual machine on my operating system. I have tried to export some files from virtual machine to linix hard disk, but I hadnt success. I am guesing that I need some software for this action. Do you know how I can do this? Thanx!

For this purpose I use wmvare. With this program I mount hard disk of virtual machine and copy files from it (if hard drive is virtual) to my hard drive. All you have to do is download and install this program. It is not hard for use and you can everywhere in the internet find tutorial for usage.
