I own computers with, of course, both are connected. Remote desktop is working fine but I cannot see wallpaper on the remote computer. There are two users on them, one is administrator. User rights are set up exactly the same on both accounts. Interesting thing is that I can see the desktop when I m using remote desktop from a distant computer. OS is windows 2000 and version is professional.

The problem could be group policy, because it affects all of your settings. To the following: Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Terminal Services. Find a enforce option and double click on it. Set it to different value, disabled. Reboot computer and see if there are any changes. Click the start menu, go to the run button and type mtsc. Choose the rdp connections and click option. Here you can load different rdp files. Each rdp has its own settings and user rights. You can adjust desktop width and height on each one of your computers. You can also manipulate width desktop position, colors fonts, and similar. There is very useful option called autoconnect. This means that you dont have to manually set up your connection each time your system starts, everything is done by autoconnect module. Play with it for a while and be sure to save your setting because system doesnt store it.
