Next week Im going to holidays, leaving my computer alone for some time. And since I have a fast connection I decided to leave it turned on. While Im on holidays my computer will work hard and hopefully download lots of new torrents.
But since I cant leave all torrents that I want to download at the same time, I want to remotely access it from internet. Since I will have to go to Internet cafe to do this I will only have trough web browser ( I suppose IE). How can I access my computer this way? Can I do all the things that can be done when Im home? For example deleting and removing files?

Hehe. I did the same thing when I was in Greece last year. So its possible to do and actually its not very hard to make it happen. First you need to allow computers to remotely access your computer. Go to Control Panel-System-Remote (WinXP) and check option Allow users to connect to this computer remotely. Then click on select remote users button, here you should Add user that you want to use your computer. Since its you, put your main user account. Its important for this account to have administrator privileges so you can do what ever you want even remotely.
Important thing is to put a password protection on that account. If you are not already using a password for you account now is time to make one. Go to Control Panel -User Account and put some nice password.
Then when you are at holidays just enter this as a web page
http://x.y.z.w/tsweb
x,y,z and w represents your computers IP address, for example http://89.216.174.49/tsweb
And that it, enjoy youre computer from a faraway place
