Hello. I would like to be able to log on remotely on my computer. I need to do this from my work place because I need some files very often and I do not like to carry them around with me. I have heard that it is possible to accomplish this with remote desktop in Windows XP but I do not know how to enable it. Can you tell me how to enable remote desktop in Windows XP?

Enabling remote desktop in Windows XP is easy. Go to Control Panel – System and click Remote tab (alternatively you can press together Windows logo key and pause key to access System and then click Remote tab). Place checkmark in “Allow Users to Connect Remotely to this Computer” check box. Click the “Select Remote Users” button and add users that will be able to connect remotely to this computer. Click “Apply” and you are set to use remote desktop feature of Windows XP.
