How much RAM do I really need? I’m not into gaming, or graphics design. Running Windows XP.

As everyone knows, the more ram you have, the better off your computing speed is.

Since you run Windows XP, my two cents is that if you have anything less than 512MB you will have a tough time.

Games and graphics design software are typically memory-intensive. Since you do not do both; my advice is at least 256MB (recommended is 516MB), and if you can afford it, 1GB.
