Can you tell me how many partitions on one HDD are allowed? My parents have bought me a new PC, but unfortunately my brother and sister want to use it also. Besides, my parents sometimes keep their data on the PC. I’d like to protect my files and privacy so I’m wondering how many partitions I can create. Can each of us have a partition?

I actually don’t know for sure but I think that you can create as many partitions as you want. I just don’t see a reason for that. You can create three partitions - the one for the system, the other for yourself and the third for them because as I realize, all of them will be using it only occasionally. You can protect your privacy by administrator password and only you can enter your partition. You can also lock certain files or make them invisible. Besides, I think that number of partitions depends on the size of HDD because these new have, for example, 360 GB and it’s even better to divide it into more partitions so that it can work faster. Anyway, you’re safe even if you do as I’ve suggested you.
