Welcome to my problem. I have Debian with Grub installed on my system, together with Windows XP on the first partition. I messed up something with the Grub, trying to replace it with the Lilo Boot Loader. Now, I am so stuck that I cannot even boot at all. How to delete the grub? And how can I return Windows XP boot loader in order to view at least any of the files I have stored on my hard drive? Please, help the poor man.

Hello. I dont know how you can delete the Grub, but I do know how you can run over Grub with Windows XP CD. After that you can easily install any other boot loader. Insert XP CD and when you reach the point from which you can select r key for repair, from the recovery console, first type fix boot than fix mbr. After reboot, you can set insert your Debian CD, and perform nice and clean installation of boot loader like it was as the first time.
