I'd like for my system tray panel to show the sound volume control button at all times, is there some way I can make this happen? I used tpo have it shown there, but this is no longer the case - these days, when I want to open up the volume controls, I have to go to the Control Panel, then to Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices. How to I make the shortcut reappear?

Here's the easiest way to do this, assuming we're talking about Windows XP here:
Right click anywhere on the taskbar, and choose "Properties". Now tick the box near the bottom saing "Hide Inactive Icons". Now, click the "Customize" button next to it. Scroll down to "Volume" or "Sound Properties" or whatever it's called, and switch it to "always show".
