Hi! I have a problem with myAIW9700Pro. It’s back side gets really hot. I think it’s due to the poor design of my case and I would like to try to solve this problem by adding a homemade heatsink to it, but I’m worried that I might cause even more problems. Does anyone have some ideas on how should I perform this? It needs to be something thin and small so that I can fit it in. Thanks in advance!

If your case is trapping the heat, you should just try removing the cover and see if that helps. If that’s not the cause of your problem it might also be that the existing heatsink just can’t cope with the generated heat. I wouldn’t recommend attaching anything on the back of your GPU because you might short something. Maybe adding some fans around it might help you. Just make sure you don't place the dead spot of the fan directly over the centre of the GPU.
