There's this old machine with a P5AD MoBo, and it won't work with the Hitachi SATA HDD that I'm trying to install. It gets recognized and all, but I can'[t get it to work at the default 300 rps, only half of that. What's causing this, and how do I fix it? Thanks in advance,

It's not unusual for older or lower-end motherboards to support a SATA drive only up to a certain speed. If your motherboard has support only for up to 150, than that's all you'll get, ever. Consider yourself lucky for even being able to get it to run, since this sort of "partial recognizing" can sometimes lead to trickier problems than that.
