| Last week I decided to build a website based for Linux. I would need a part of the site to be i Hindi. Because of that I would need to use some Hindi font, but as I am not using Linux for too long, I am not sure how to enable Hindi and what is the procedure for doing that. I am using Mandrake distribution. Thanks in advance for the advice. |

| There is one common font usually used in Mandrake distribution, it is called RaghuHindi Font. There is no special procedure for enabling it, especially if you have chosen the 'Hindi' option during your installation. As soon as you install it like any other font in Linux, you can start using it. You can find some additional advices at http://in.geocities.com/dysxhi/en/font.html. There is another great font, DVBOTSurekh, at http://www2.dw-world.de/hindi. Both are equally good choice for the website, so you can decide on the basis of personal preference. Best of luck. |
