Hidden email spam code?

Hello. I have discussed with my friend about spam. He told me that each spam message contain hidden email spam code. This is very weird for me and I have never heard about this. So, I want to check this claim if it is true or false with you. I have heard that you will probably be informed about this.

Hello. Well, I cannot tell you that I am informed much about this, but I have heard some things. Namely, according to much security software manufacturers, each spam has hidden email spam code which informs sender of spam messages have you read sent message. So, it is important to delete these messages. Sometimes this code can still information of your account, too.
