| Hello. I have bought a new DVD-RW drive and now I need to mount it…. Now for all those who want to help me on how do I replace the old with the new one inside computer case, just keep in mind that I have never did this so far, neither watched when somebody else is doing it, which means that total newbie is asking for something way too complicated. Thanks in advance. |

| Hello. It is not complicated as you think it is. There is no need for any fear, just don’t force with rush anywhere. Usually two screws are waiting for you to open them in order to connect the hardware. The left side of the case, the screws are from the rear side. When you did that, just remove the left case side and you’ll figure out how is your old device connected. Unscrew it too, detach all cables and set the device position (the new one) as it was on the old device. The device position is actually managed by a plastic piece called jumper, which residents between those two attached cables. I hope this will help, because there is nothing else left to do. Don’t forget to unplug the computer from the power source. |
