Headphones OK, but nothing coming out speakers!?

This is getting very annoying. When I try to play some music, the program starts and the song goes but there is nothing coming out of my speakers. Sine that is very strange, I have plugged in my earphones and everything is ok. The music can be heard. Do you know where the catch is and why nothing comes out of my speakers?

Well, are your speakers well connected? Sometimes a wire disconnects or something just pulls out of your speakers or a cord connecting your PC and speakers is not well connected. If the led indicator on your speakers is working, I really doubt that there might be something wrong with your speakers. There are certain settings in your sound card controller and maybe you or somebody who uses your PC accidentally changed them and now the sound may be heard only through the earphones. I’d suggest you to check whether you have plugged your speakers to the rights jack because it can happen that you put the plug into the jack for microphone which is right beside the one for speakers.
