I have installed The Dawn of Magic video game. I have tried to start it but the game wont run. It exits with the message that emulation software is running. I have original DVD in my drive and I am using Alcohol 120 for burning and emulating DVD drive. When I close Alcohol 120 game run just fine. Why am I having problem with games and Alcohol 120?

This problem is tied up with copy protection software that comes with games. Many new protection algorithms like StarForce or Securom will detect emulation software and then will prevent game from running. This is not problem only with Alcohol 120 but with all other emulation software like VirtualDaemon and others. This is very annoying thing but that is the way it is. You will have to disable Alcohol 120 in order for games to work.
