I have recently bought a new computer and installed AVG Antivirus. However, it is not enough, as I understand, and I still need to get a good firewall, in order to prevent any damage to my computer additionally. If anyone could recommend me one, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

You are right that you need a good firewall. In fact, it is equally important as a good antivirus. One of the best firewalls is Zone Alarm. It is really dependable, relatively easy to use and can protect you very efficiently. Another good firewall is Kerio. However, it is probably not as dependable as Zone Alarm, although it can still be very useful. There are specialized programs like Ad-aware, or some similar ones that protect you against adware, spyware, keyloggers. However, use such programs only as an addition to your firewall, not instead of them. All in all, I recommend you getting Zone Alarm. Best of luck.
