Hi. My computer was full of viruses and I have cleaned it up. Few days after this I have started facing some hardware problems. Hard drive started to make some weird sounds during boot up and computer rebooted after some time without any apparent reason. Is it possible that hardware failure is caused by viruses?

Hello. Generally speaking it is not possible for virus to destroy hardware or cause some kind of hardware failure. It is hard for any software to make some hardware problems unless it is written specifically to target one device (or very similar devices from one manufacturer). Such programs would have to be much larger then average virus. Regarding your problem, I would suggest you to reinstall Windows and to check hard drive for errors.
