Hard disk problem after using ubuntu live cd

I have used Ubuntu live cd and after that action I have disk problem. My problem is about booting I can not boot system any more. When I try to boot XP I couldnt either. I went to bios and saw there that bios dont see hard disk at all. I do not know what problem could be? Did my live Ubuntu crash something?

Ubuntu crash something? It is very unusual and pretty much impossible, unless you didnt you play around with dd or fdisk, but you would tell me that, right? You should open your case and just to be sure check cable from motherboard to hard disk. If there is everything ok, boot your live cd again and see if it will see your hard disk. If it is, try to backup all your needed data (of course, if you can) and buy new hard disk, because that one is finished its work.
