This morning when I booted my computer hard drive detection failed. I have not any problems with this hard disk, so this is very strange to me. There were no signs that it will broke. I am very confused, too. I tried to change settings in bios, but problem still persists. What do you suggest me?

Open the case and try other hard disk, just to be sure that is yours fine. If you have same problems with other hard disk, then you should consider changing ide cable. Maybe the problem is contact on your motherboard or with power supply. Try all of that I am sure that you will find cause. But if other hard disk boots, then, yours is broken for sure.
