I'm considering buying a used laptop, specifically the HP Pavilion ZE4500. I read some of the reviews on the 'net, but it's mostly the standard advertising praise that tells me nothing of substance. I was thinking maybe someone here had this model before, and would like to share some of their experiences? I'm open to alternative suggestions as well, somewhere in the same price/performance area of course. Thanks in advance.

I never had that one myself, but I think a friend of mine still does. If I recall correctly, he constantly complained about various battery charging issues. Don't know the exact details, but I know he had to take it in for repair in the end, after which it worked OK. I don't know if all this is of any use to you, but hopefully someone with first-hand experience will tune in
