Hello! I have problem with my HP DVD drive. When I boot empty disc because I want to burn something, I am getting message that I should boot empty disc. I am using Maxell media and I have heard that Maxell is good brand, so, I just cannot figure out what is going on. Is my DVD broken?

Hello! Some burning devices are to sensitive and they just do not want to accept some discs. Maxell is good brand, but I suggest you to try some other (e.g. Verbatim). If this does not help (if you still get mentioned message), then I suggest you to use cleaning disc because could be that your lenses need cleaning. If this does not help – I think that you will need to call repair shop.
