I had an HP Pavilion laptop for last two years and I never had any problem with it. Yesterday, my mother was cleaning the room. She accidentally pushed it from my desk and now its LCD monitor is broken. Monitor is still having a picture but display has persistently flickering. I do not know what to do.

I also tie to the things I posses, and it is hard for me to throw them away. However, that is the exact thing I would advise you to do. You did not tell us what type of Hewlett Packard laptop you have. Does it really have LCD or TFT screen? However, in both cases, repairing would cost much more then buying a new one. If it is notebook with LCD monitor, replacing its screen would cost at least 60% of the price of the new notebook. Therefore, because your notebook is already two years old its guarantee period has long gone, I advise you to buy a new one. You could find great new model of notebooks with prices starting from 400 euros.
