| I tried adding a second RAM stick to the existing memory slot, for a total of 1 GB RAM memory, but now the laptop won't boot any more. It just hangs there on the POST screen, right after verifying that there is indeed a Gig of RAM on the board, and goes no further. Apparently, it's slotted OK, because otherwise it wouldn't detect it, right? What else could I have done wrong? |

| Well, apart from accidentally loosening something inside the case while performing the operation, probably nothing. You should try one of these two things (or maybe both): First, clear the CMOS by switching the jumpers. Second, flash your BIOS. If you don't know how to do any of these things, just ask. |
