Hello. I think that my BIOS is doing some things wrong. I have tried to install Windows XP home on the new 250 gigabytes hard drive. The Blue setup window appeared and I was numb when I saw that there are only 120 gigabytes of hard drive space available to format. Now how comes that? Is it really possible that hard drive is actually not the one I bought?

Hi. I think such mistakes are just not possible by factory setup, regarding hard drive. Most probably, I believe that you are using Windows XP home edition without any service pack installed. IN that case, windows is blind for more than 120 gigabytes of data. Here is the workout: Install windows, first create primary partition, than when setup is completed, update your operating system to the Service Pack 1, at least. After that everything will be cool.
